# Add Google Analytics to Shops

## Before you can start gathering data about your store, you need to have a Google account, sign up for analytics tracking, and include your analytics code in Fygaro following these steps:

#### Step 1: Get a Google Account

* If you already have a Google account (for example, if you use Gmail), use that account for Google Analytics.
* If you don't have a Google account, create one at **[](https://accounts.google.com/SignUp)[https://accounts.google.com/SignUp](https://accounts.google.com/SignUp)**

#### Step 2: Enable Google Analytics

* Go to **[](https://analytics.google.com/)[https://analytics.google.com/](https://analytics.google.com/)** and sign in with your Google account.
* Click Admin and select the account you want to use.
* Click Create Property and enter a name for it.
* Copy the Universal Analytics property to your clipboard.
* In a new browser tab, open the [Fygaro Shops > Customize](https://www.fygaro.com/en/app/alfred/customize/) section.
* Click on "Edit Meta Tags" and paste your Analytics 4 property.

#### Step 3: Turn on eCommerce tracking

* In your Google Analytics account, click Admin.
* In the View column, click Ecommerce Settings.
* Click the Enable Ecommerce toggle to turn it on.

If you want more detailed tracking information, turn on Enhanced Ecommerce tracking.

**Note**: make sure you only enable Google Analytics once, or the data will be inaccurate.
